I'm Pranav
I use my experiences as a chemical process engineer to make your life and your facilities better!

Having gained experience in a wide array of operations as a generalist (primarily in the oil & gas industry), I want to use my expertise as a process engineer to design or troubleshoot your processes while striving for continual improvement, in a way that adds value to the organization and helps me incrementally grow as an engineering professional.

- Performed pinch analysis for networking of streams and reducing energy consumption
- Proposed addition of an isomerization reactor to convert by-products, boost productivity by reactor modelling & economic analysis

Sizing & Specification of PSVs as per API 2000/NFPA 30 Standards
Part of project to gain certification in 'Process Design Engineering'
- Developed spreadsheets for calculations, sized pressure safety valves for 10 pressure vessels for ‘Reliance Petrochemicals
- Performed ChemCAD simulations to compare results
- Adhered to NFPA 30 code for design in case of external fire

Design & Development of Processes to Recover Reactants Wasted in Flare Streams in Polypropylene Production
Collaboration with engineers at Chevron-Phillips & Aramco, Part of Master's Research at Michigan Tech
- Performed simulation of membrane based separation systems, performed sensitivity analysis to optimize process variables
- Tested 4 designs with more than 40 design variations
- Sized equipment, calculated utility & power requirements and delivered payback period for each design to determine economic feasibility
